Our School

Southeast Children’s Fund (SCF) is a great school, and Creative Curriculum (CC) was chosen as our curriculum…

Curriculum Approach

Southeast Children’s Fund staff reviewed several nationally recognized early childhood education curriculums in 2011. As a result of our research, the Creative Curriculum was chosen as our official curriculum for children ages 2 through 5 yrs of age. Additionally, staff was trained to administer and utilize the CC in phases, starting with the Pre-Kindergarten classes, then the Infant and Toddler classrooms.

The Creative Curriculum is a “dynamic early childhood education publishing company that is committed to making a difference in the lives of children birth through age five.  The company’s mission is to enhance the quality of early childhood programs by offering practical, innovative, and developmentally appropriate curriculum materials; staff development services and materials; and parenting resources. The CC is a practical, comprehensive, easy-to-use curriculum based on the best and most current research in the early childhood educational field. The curriculum contributes to improving the care and education of young children. And the CC promotes parent education resources and supports strong partnerships between educators and families as essential to the success of the child.

Southeast Children’s Fund, Inc. is committed to providing an innovative, stimulating learning environment to its children through the Creative Curriculum. As early childhood educational professionals, we promote and embrace the use of this curriculum. Each classroom teacher is required to use the curriculum as the basic framework for developing lesson plans but is also expected to incorporate other innovative resources and teaching aids that will benefit and support the learning experience for all children we serve.
