Southeast Children’s Fund is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose focus is on improving the lives of District of Columbia residents, particularly those in Southeast. Through education and training our core services include: an NAEYC-accredited Early Care and Education Program; Youth and Family Initiatives, and a Professional Development Institute that provides Child Development Associate (CDA) and other training for child care providers.

The DC Lead grant aims to provide the District’s child care educators with the knowledge, skills and credentials needed to work with DC’s youngest learners and increase the number of high-quality early childhood professionals in the District through scholarships for postsecondary degrees.

The DC LEAD Scholarship Program provides scholarships to the early learning workforce to complete coursework towards their Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Early Childhood Education to:
